Brian Diemer, born on October 10, 1961, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a retired American middle-distance runner specializing in the steeplechase. Diemer gained prominence in the 1980s, representing the United States in various international competitions. His most notable achievement came during the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles, where he won a bronze medal in the men’s 3000-meter steeplechase, making him the first American to earn an Olympic medal in this event since 1932.
