Biography
Brian Langford (born December 17, 1935) is a former English cricketer who represented Gloucestershire County Cricket Club during his professional career. A right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler, Langford made his first-class debut in 1953 and quickly established himself as a versatile player contributing with both bat and ball.
Throughout his career, Langford was noted for his consistent performances in the County Championship, particularly during the 1960s and early 1970s. He achieved notable personal milestones, including over 1,500 runs in a season and a career total of more than 13,000 first-class runs. His bowling skills also earned him respect, capturing more than 400 wickets in first-class matches.
Langford retired from professional cricket in 1975 but left a lasting legacy as a skilled all-rounder.
