Butch Johnson, born on May 28, 1954, in the United States, is a former professional American football wide receiver who had a notable career in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before being selected in the 1980 NFL Draft. Johnson was picked in the third round by the Dallas Cowboys, where he quickly established himself as a reliable target on the field.
During his time with the Cowboys from 1980 to 1985, Johnson contributed significantly to the team's offensive success, including playing a key role in their Super Bowl XII victory in 1978.
