C. K. Nayudu, born on October 31, 1895, in Indore, India, was a pioneering Indian cricketer and one of the nation’s first sporting icons. He made his first-class debut in 1913 and went on to represent India in its inaugural Test match in 1932 against England in Lord's. Nayudu was known for his flamboyant batting style and was celebrated as one of the finest batsmen of his era.
Throughout his career, Nayudu amassed significant runs in domestic cricket, serving as a key player for the Central Provinces and Berar as well as for the Maharaja of Indore’s team.
