Biography
Carl Hoeft (born November 13, 1974) is a former New Zealand rugby union player known for his prowess as a prop. He was educated at St. Kentigern College in Auckland, where he first showcased his rugby talent. Hoeft's professional career began in the mid-1990s, where he quickly established himself within New Zealand's domestic leagues.
Hoeft gained notable recognition for his contributions to the Auckland Blues in Super Rugby, where he played a key role in their success during the late 1990s. He was part of the team that won the 1996 Super Rugby title and continued to compete at a high level in the franchise until 2000. Additionally, Hoeft made significant contributions to the representative side, being a member of the New Zealand U21 team.
Internationally, Hoeft earned his place in the All Blacks squad, making his test debut in 1999.
