Carnell Lake, born on July 15, 1967, in Encino, California, is a former professional American football player who excelled as a safety and cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at UCLA, where he garnered significant attention for his defensive prowess and athleticism. Lake was selected in the 1990 NFL Draft in the fourth round by the Pittsburgh Steelers, marking the beginning of a successful career that would span over a decade.
During his time with the Steelers from 1990 to 1997, Lake established himself as a versatile defensive back, known for his ability to play multiple positions in the secondary. He was a key contributor to the Steelers' defense and was named to the Pro Bowl twice, in 1995 and 1997.
