Biography
Charles Wright (born May 27, 1863) was an English cricketer who played principally as a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler. He made his first-class debut in 1881 for Yorkshire and went on to have a notable career that spanned more than a decade. During his time with Yorkshire, Wright was known for his aggressive batting style and effective bowling, contributing significantly to the team's successes in domestic cricket.
Throughout his career, Wright made over 200 appearances in first-class cricket, accumulating more than 8,000 runs and taking over 200 wickets. He was a consistent performer in the county circuit and gained recognition for his capabilities in both batting and bowling, making him a valuable all-rounder.
