Biography
Charley Eikenberg (February 22, 1924 – October 28, 2017) was an American professional football player known for his contributions as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Eikenberg played college football at the University of Michigan, where he distinguished himself as a formidable defensive player. He was selected in the 6th round of the 1946 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Eikenberg spent the majority of his career with the Eagles, where he became known for his tenacity and strong tackling ability. During his time with the team, he was instrumental in leading the defense and played a critical role in the Eagles' successes in the late 1940s.
