Biography
Chet Williams is a former professional basketball player known for his dynamic scoring ability and versatile skill set. Born on March 15, 1985, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Williams excelled in basketball during his high school years at Waverly High School, where he earned All-American honors. He went on to play college basketball at the University of North Carolina, where he was a key contributor to the Tar Heels’ NCAA championship run in 2006.
Williams entered the NBA Draft in 2007, being selected 12th overall by the Chicago Bulls. Throughout his eight-season career in the league, he played for several teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat, earning two All-Star selections and being named to the All-NBA Second Team in 2009. Known for his leadership on the court, he played a significant role in helping the Miami Heat secure the 2012 NBA Championship.
Following his retirement from professional play in 2015, Williams transitioned into coaching, emphasizing player development and skill training.
