Chris Claiborne, born on July 26, 1978, in Los Angeles, California, is a former professional American football linebacker. He played college football at the University of Southern California (USC), where he was recognized as a consensus All-American and earned the prestigious Butkus Award in 1998, which honors the nation’s top linebacker. Claiborne's impressive college career showcased his athleticism and leadership, paving the way for a successful transition to the National Football League (NFL).
Claiborne was selected in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, where he played for five seasons.
