Chris Cowdrey (born October 20, 1957) is a former English cricketer who represented Kent and England during his professional career. A right-handed batsman and part-time bowler, Cowdrey made his first-class debut for Kent in 1975, establishing himself as a key player for the county over the next two decades. He was part of the Kent team that won the County Championship in 1976 and played a significant role in their success through the 1980s, including multiple victories in limited-overs competitions.
Cowdrey made his Test debut for England in 1982 and appeared in 15 Test matches until 1985. Throughout his international career, he was known for his solid batting technique and played a crucial role in England's middle order during a period of transition for the national team. His contributions in One Day Internationals (ODIs) were also noteworthy, accumulating over 500 runs and participating in several notable series.
