Chris Thorburn is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada, born on June 3, 1983, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Known for his physical style of play and strong work ethic, Thorburn was selected in the third round, 50th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He spent parts of his early career in the American Hockey League (AHL) before making his NHL debut in 2006.
Throughout his career, Thorburn played for several NHL teams, including the Buffalo Sabres, Atlanta Thrashers, and Winnipeg Jets. He became recognized as an effective role player, contributing not only through physical play but also as a reliable team leader in the locker room.
