Chuni Goswami, born on January 15, 1938, in Kolkata, India, was a prominent Indian cricketer and a celebrated sports figure. Renowned for his exceptional skills as a right-handed batsman and an agile medium-fast bowler, he made significant contributions to Indian cricket during the 1960s and 1970s. Goswami represented Bengal in domestic cricket and played a pivotal role in leading the team to victory in the Ranji Trophy.
Goswami made his Test debut for India in 1960 and went on to have a distinguished international career, appearing in a total of 59 Test matches until his retirement in 1972.
