Cindy Blodgett

Cindy Blodgett, born on December 23, 1975, in Waterville, Maine, is a former professional basketball player recognized for her outstanding collegiate career. She played for the University of Maine Black Bears from 1993 to 1998, where she became the all-time leading scorer in the history of the NCAA Division I women’s basketball at the time, culminating her college career with 3,015 points. Blodgett’s exceptional skills on the court earned her numerous accolades, including being a finalist for the Naismith Award and a member of the All-America team.

Following her collegiate success, Blodgett was selected in the second round of the 1998 WNBA Draft by the Cleveland Rockers. Throughout her professional career, she played for several teams, including the Rockers and the Portland Fire, where she made notable contributions on both ends of the court. Despite facing challenges in maintaining consistent statistics in the WNBA, her determination and work ethic left a lasting impression within the league.
