Clyde Simmons is a former professional American football defensive end, born on August 4, 1964, in La Grange, Georgia. He played college football at Wake Forest University, where he developed a reputation for his formidable pass-rushing abilities. After a successful collegiate career, Simmons was selected in the sixth round of the 1986 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Simmons enjoyed a distinguished career in the NFL, primarily with the Philadelphia Eagles and later with the Arizona Cardinals and the New York Jets.
