Biography
C. N. Haksar, widely regarded as one of India's pioneering cricketers, was born on December 21, 1931, in Lahore, British India. He made his first-class debut in the 1950-51 season and played for various teams including Delhi and the North Zone. Haksar was known for his exceptional batting skills, contributing to his teams’ successes with a significant number of runs during his career.
Haksar represented India in the Test cricket arena, making his debut against England in 1952. He played a total of 11 Test matches, amassing 338 runs at an average of 20.88, with a top score of 96. Furthermore, he was a part of the Indian team during its formative years on the international stage, participating in important series that helped lay the foundation for future Indian cricketing successes.
