Cody Payne, born on July 17, 1979, is a retired professional basketball player known for his scoring ability and versatility on the court. He played college basketball at the University of Arizona, where he garnered attention for his explosive athleticism and sharpshooting skills, earning All-Conference honors in his junior and senior seasons. Payne declared for the NBA Draft following his senior year and was selected in the second round by the Dallas Mavericks in 2001.
