Biography
Cortez Kennedy was born on August 23, 1968, in Osceola, Arkansas. He played college football at the University of Miami, where he showcased his exceptional skills as a defensive tackle. Following an impressive collegiate career, Kennedy was selected by the Seattle Seahawks as the third overall pick in the 1990 NFL Draft.
During his 11-year career with the Seahawks, Kennedy established himself as one of the premier defensive players in the NFL. He was named to the Pro Bowl three times and earned First-Team All-Pro honors in 1992, further solidifying his reputation as a dominant force on the field. In 1992, he also received the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award, a testament to his impact on the game.
