Dabo Swinney, born on November 20, 1969, is a prominent American football coach and former player best known for his tenure as the head coach of the Clemson University Tigers. After playing wide receiver at the University of Alabama from 1989 to 1992, Swinney transitioned into coaching, starting his career as a graduate assistant at Alabama in 1993. He joined the Clemson coaching staff in 2003 and was appointed head coach in 2008, following a successful stint as the interim coach.
