Dale Hellestrae, born on July 11, 1962, in Melrose, Minnesota, is a former professional American football player known for his role as a long snapper in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Minnesota before being selected by the Washington Redskins in the 10th round of the 1986 NFL Draft. Hellestrae carved out a successful career over 14 seasons in the league, primarily with the Dallas Cowboys, where he became highly regarded for his consistency and reliability.
