Dan Carpenter, born on November 25, 1985, in Altamonte Springs, Florida, is a former American football placekicker recognized for his tenure in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Montana, where he established himself as a reliable kicker, becoming the first player in school history to score over 300 points. Following his collegiate success, Carpenter entered the 2008 NFL Draft and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Miami Dolphins.
