Darrell Green, born on February 15, 1960, in Houston, Texas, is a former professional American football cornerback who played 20 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Washington Redskins. Selected in the first round of the 1983 NFL Draft, Green quickly established himself as one of the premier defensive backs of his era, known for his exceptional speed and tenacious play. He contributed significantly to the Redskins' success during the late 1980s and early 1990s, culminating in two Super Bowl victories in Super Bowl XXII and Super Bowl XXVI.
