Darrell Hay, born on April 2, 1980, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his defensive skills and versatility on the ice. He played junior hockey with the Moose Jaw Warriors in the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he developed his foundational skills and showcased his potential as a strong defenseman. Following his junior career, Hay was selected in the sixth round of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders.
