Biography
Darren Sharper, born on November 3, 1975, in Richmond, Virginia, is a former American football safety who had a notable career in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at William & Mary before being selected in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. Over his 14-year professional career, Sharper also played for the New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings, and the New York Jets.
Throughout his NFL career, Sharper was recognized for his exceptional skills in pass coverage and playmaking abilities, which contributed to his teams' defensive success. He was named to the Pro Bowl five times and was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2009.
