Datta Gaekwad, born on October 27, 1928, in Baroda, India, was a prominent Indian cricketer recognized for his contributions to the sport during the mid-20th century. A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler, Gaekwad represented the Indian national team in the 1950s, earning a total of 5 Test caps. He made his Test debut against Australia in 1952 and played his final Test match against the West Indies in 1953.
