Dattu Phadkar, born on December 12, 1925, was an accomplished Indian cricketer known for his contributions to the sport during the 1940s and 1950s. A right-handed batsman and a medium-pace bowler, Phadkar made his debut for the Indian national team in 1948 against the West Indies, quickly establishing himself as a valuable player. His playing style combined solid batting technique with effective seam bowling, which earned him recognition in the domestic circuit as well.
Throughout his career, Phadkar played a notable role in India's early Test matches, participating in 8 Tests from 1948 to 1952.
