Dave Casper, born on September 26, 1951, in Grove City, Pennsylvania, is a former professional American football player who played as a tight end in the National Football League (NFL). Casper attended the University of Notre Dame, where he excelled as a standout player, leading the Fighting Irish to a national championship in 1973. He was selected in the second round of the 1974 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders, where he began his illustrious career.
During his time with the Raiders, Casper was a pivotal player, exemplifying both versatility and athleticism. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and earned All-Pro honors in multiple seasons.
