Dave Wilcox, born on September 29, 1942, in Junction City, Kansas, was a prominent linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Oregon before being selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of the 1964 NFL Draft. Wilcox quickly established himself as a key player on the 49ers' defense, earning recognition for his tackling prowess and agility on the field.
During his 11-season career with the 49ers (1964-1974), Wilcox was a five-time Pro Bowl selection and was named First-team All-Pro three times.
