Biography
David Prophet (born October 9, 1937) was a British Formula 1 driver who competed in the early 1960s. He made his debut at the 1961 Monaco Grand Prix, driving for the privateer Lichtenstein team. Over his career, Prophet participated in a total of 18 Grands Prix, securing his best finish at the 1962 British Grand Prix where he finished in fifth place.
Although Prophet did not achieve significant success in terms of race wins, he was known for his technical knowledge and ability to develop race cars. Throughout his career, he contributed to the advancement of automotive engineering within the sport, particularly in aerodynamics and tire performance.
