Debasis Chakraborty, born on December 28, 1958, in India, is a former cricketer known for his contributions to the sport as a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He emerged as a prominent player in domestic cricket during the late 1970s and early 1980s, representing Bengal in the Ranji Trophy. His performances in the domestic circuit showcased his skill and determination, earning him recognition as a key player for his home state.
Chakraborty made his international debut for the Indian national team in 1981, becoming part of the squad at a time when Indian cricket was evolving.
