Dennis Byrd, born on October 5, 1966, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, was a prominent defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). He attended the University of Tulsa, where he earned All-American honors before being selected by the New York Jets in the second round of the 1989 NFL Draft.
