Dennis Claridge, born on August 18, 1941, is a former American football quarterback known for his collegiate success and subsequent professional career in the NFL. A standout player at the University of Nebraska, Claridge led his team to a national championship in 1970, earning recognition for his leadership and passing abilities. His performance in college paved the way for his entry into professional football.
Claridge was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 17th round of the 1964 NFL Draft. He played a brief stint in the NFL, also spending time with the Oakland Raiders and the Chicago Bears, but did not achieve the same level of success as he did in college.
