Biography
Dick Feiereisel was an American basketball player born on February 24, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Indiana University, where he played college basketball under the guidance of coach Branch McCracken, helping lead the Hoosiers to a Big Ten championship during the 1943–44 season. Feiereisel's collegiate career was marked by his scoring ability and playmaking skills, showcasing his talent as a forward.
Following his college career, Feiereisel was drafted by the Boston Celtics in the 1947 BAA Draft, becoming one of the early players in the Basketball Association of America. He played for the Celtics from 1946 to 1949 and was known for his remarkable shooting prowess and defensive capabilities, contributing to the team's competitive edge during its formative years. Feiereisel’s performance helped pave the way for the Celtics' future successes in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
