Biography
Dick Hoak, born on December 8, 1939, in Derry, Pennsylvania, is a former American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL). Hoak attended Penn State University, where he was a standout player and garnered attention for his skills on the field. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the 1961 NFL Draft.
During his professional career, which spanned from 1961 to 1967, Hoak played primarily with the Steelers, where he contributed as both a running back and a kick returner. He had his most productive season in 1963, rushing for over 600 yards and scoring five touchdowns, showcasing his capability as a dual-threat player.
