Dick Kazmaier, born on November 23, 1930, in Troy, New York, was a prominent American football player and a halfback who played in the National Football League (NFL). He gained fame as a star at Princeton University, where he won the prestigious Heisman Trophy in 1951, becoming the first player from the Ivy League to receive this honor. Kazmaier was known for his agility, speed, and football intelligence, which contributed to his celebrated collegiate career.
After graduating from Princeton in 1952, Kazmaier entered the NFL, being selected by the Chicago Bears in the 1952 Draft.
