Biography
Dick Klitch was an American basketball athlete known for his exceptional skills as a shooting guard during the mid-20th century. Born in 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, he quickly rose through the ranks of youth and high school basketball, earning recognition for his scoring ability and sharp shooting. After a standout collegiate career at the University of Illinois, where he was named an All-American, Klitch entered the professional arena in the early 1960s.
Klitch played the majority of his professional career in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Chicago Hawks, where he became a key player and team leader. His peak performance during the 1965-66 season saw him average 22 points per game, earning him a selection to the NBA All-Star team.
