Dick Sperbeck was an American basketball player born on February 5, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois. He played collegiate basketball at the University of Illinois, where he became known for his scoring ability and playmaking skills. Sperbeck earned All-American honors and led the Fighting Illini to multiple successful seasons during his tenure from 1959 to 1962.
