Don Strock (born November 27, 1950) is a former American football quarterback known for his significant contributions to the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Virginia Tech, where he set multiple school records, leading to his selection in the ninth round of the 1973 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. Strock is particularly remembered for his role as a backup quarterback during the Dolphins’ celebrated 1970s era, which included a perfect season in 1972.
Throughout his NFL career, which spanned from 1973 to 1987, Strock primarily played for the Miami Dolphins and later the Cleveland Browns. He was known for his strong arm and ability to perform under pressure, as demonstrated during the Dolphins' playoff games, including a notable performance in the 1982 AFC Championship against the San Diego Chargers.
