Donte Whitner, born on July 24, 1985, in Cleveland, Ohio, is a former professional American football safety known for his impact both on and off the field. He played college football at Ohio State University before being selected in the first round, 8th overall, of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. His tenure with the Bills (2006-2010) helped establish him as a formidable defensive presence in the league.
Whitner's career progressed with significant contributions to the San Francisco 49ers, where he played from 2011 to 2013.
