Doug Hawkins, born on May 5, 1960, in Australia, is a former professional Australian rules football player renowned for his impressive 16-year career in the Victorian Football League (VFL), which later became the Australian Football League (AFL). He made his debut in 1977 with the Footscray Football Club, where he quickly established himself as a key player known for his exceptional skill and pace on the field.

During his career, Hawkins amassed a total of 329 games and scored 464 goals, ranking him among the top players in the club's history.
