Biography
Douglas Reid was an Australian cricketer born on September 23, 1886. He made his first-class debut for New South Wales in the 1908-09 season, showcasing his skills as a right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium-fast bowler. Over the course of his career, Reid became known for his technical proficiency and competitive spirit on the field.
Reid played a total of 29 first-class matches, predominantly for New South Wales, between 1908 and 1920. He scored 1,223 runs, which included a top score of 143 not out, and took 56 wickets during his career. His performances during this period contributed to the strength of New South Wales cricket, as the team dominated Australian domestic cricket during the early 20th century.
