Dwight White, born on July 30, 1949, in Long Beach, Mississippi, was a professional American football player renowned for his defensive prowess in the NFL. A standout at Morris Brown College, he was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round of the 1971 NFL Draft. Throughout his career, White became a key member of the legendary Steelers defense, known as the "Steel Curtain," contributing significantly to the team's four Super Bowl victories during the 1970s.
During his ten-season tenure with the Steelers, White established himself as one of the premier defensive ends in the league. He was named to the Pro Bowl on multiple occasions and earned recognition as an All-Pro player, showcasing his ability to disrupt opposing offenses.
