Biography
Dylan Olsen, born on January 3, 1991, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a retired professional ice hockey defenseman. Drafted 28th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1st round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, he showcased his talents in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Red Deer Rebels before making the transition to the NHL. Olsen made his professional debut with the Blackhawks during the 2011-12 NHL season and played a key role in the team’s defensive lineup.
Throughout his career, Olsen had stints with the Chicago Blackhawks, Florida Panthers, and the American Hockey League (AHL) teams, including the Rockford IceHogs and the San Antonio Rampage.
