Ed Marinaro, born on March 31, 1950, in New York City, is a former professional American football player and actor. As a standout running back at Cornell University, he garnered national attention by winning the Ivy League Player of the Year award and finishing as a runner-up for the prestigious Heisman Trophy in 1971. Following his college career, Marinaro was selected in the second round of the 1972 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.
During his six-season tenure in the NFL, Marinaro played for the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, and Seattle Seahawks.
