Edgar Beck (born April 21, 1889) was an English cricketer known for his contributions to the sport during the early 20th century. A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler, Beck played first-class cricket primarily for Kent County Cricket Club, making his debut in 1908. Over the course of his career, he became recognized for his solid batting technique and consistent performances.
Throughout his career, Beck participated in a total of 136 first-class matches, accumulating over 5,800 runs at an average of 25.00, including ten centuries. His notable achievements include a standout season in 1911, where he recorded his highest score of 197 against Sussex, which showcased his capability as a top-order batsman. Beck also played for the Gentlemen in the Gentlemen v Players matches, which were significant fixtures in English cricket during that era.
Despite the interruption of his cricketing career due to World War I, Beck continued to make an impact in the sport until his retirement in 1924.
