Emerson Boozer, born on July 4, 1943, in Newark, New Jersey, is a former professional American football player who played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL). A standout at Maryland State University, Boozer was selected by the New York Jets in the 1966 NFL Draft. He quickly established himself as a powerful and agile player, earning recognition for his speed and ability to gain yards after contact.
Throughout his NFL career, which spanned from 1966 to 1975, Boozer became a key contributor to the Jets' offense.
