Emilio de Villota, born on July 26, 1946, in Madrid, Spain, was a prominent racing driver known for competing in Formula 1 during the 1970s. He began his motorsport career in karting and moved up the ranks through various single-seater categories, including Formula Ford and Formula 3, where he showcased his talent and determination. De Villota made his Formula 1 debut in 1971, driving for the March team and participating in a handful of races over the ensuing years.
Throughout his F1 career, de Villota raced for several teams, including McLaren, March, and his own team, De Villota Racing.
