Emily Saunders, born on July 17, 2001, is a professional basketball athlete known for her exceptional skills as a forward. Raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she emerged as a standout player during her high school tenure at Central High School, where she led her team to state championships and garnered numerous accolades, including being named a McDonald’s All-American in her senior year.
After committing to play collegiate basketball at the University of Connecticut, Saunders made an immediate impact in the NCAA, helping UConn secure a national championship during her sophomore year. Throughout her college career, she was recognized for her scoring ability and defensive prowess, earning multiple All-American honors and setting school records for rebounds and blocks.
Following her graduation in 2023, Saunders was drafted into the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), where she quickly became a key player for her team.
