Eric Dalton (born December 2, 1906) was a prominent South African cricketer known for his exceptional skills as a middle-order batsman and his prowess as a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He made his first-class debut in 1926 and quickly established himself in the domestic cricket scene, representing teams such as Transvaal and Western Province over the course of his career.
Dalton's international career spanned from 1931 to 1938, during which he played in 16 Test matches for South Africa. He was part of the South African team that toured England in 1935, where he notably achieved his highest Test score of 139 against the English side at Lord's, showcasing his talent on an international platform. He was also known for his tactical acumen and ability to perform under pressure, contributing to the team's competitive spirit during the inter-war years.
