Eric Swann, born on August 16, 1970, in New Bern, North Carolina, is a former professional American football player who achieved prominence as a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). After playing college football at Western Carolina University, Swann was selected in the first round of the 1991 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals, where he began to establish himself as a formidable force on the defensive line.
